I hold a degree in Visual Arts, a multimedia variant, from the Department of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Évora. Plastic artist, Master in Artistic Practice and researcher at the Center for History of Art and Artistic Research at the University of Évora (CHAIA), currently in the PhD in Art History, at the Institute of Advanced Research and Training at the same University (IIFA).
Grant holder in the Soviet Union (1987), in the Polytechnic of Kiev, in computer programming.I joined the University of Évora in 1992 where attended the course of Process and Energy Engineering. Later moved to the Fine Arts course at the University of Évora in 1999.
My investigation into the secrets of clay art began in 1998, with the masters Orlando Guimarães and António Velho, from Pottery Guimarães / Velho in S. Pedro do Corval.
In 1999 I founded the atelier OFICINA DA TERRA, which kept open in the historical center of Évora until 2013.
In 2011 I opened to the public my project, declared of cultural interest by the Ministry of Culture: ALDEIA DA TERRA - THE LARGEST CARICATURAL VILLAGE OF PORTUGAL, initially as an open-air sculpture garden in Arraiolos, part of the Alentejo Theme Parks network .
Since October 2017, relocated in Évora, and already as an exhibition, has been permanently open to the public for a year and a half, I currently work daily on caricatures and other orders. in my workshop in Arraiolos, Évora.
